Teaching

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, in no small part because of the experience gained from contributing to various social science modules during the decade I spent working at The Open University. The closest I have ever come to explicitly articulating the philosophy of my own teaching is outlined in a short commentary on the theme of ‘Teaching geography without scruples‘, and in an older piece on ‘How to talk properly and influence people‘.

At Exeter, I am currently the module convenor for two core Human Geography modules (these links won’t work unless you are registered at the University of Exeter):

Level 1 – GEO1106: Geographies of Global Change

Level 2 – GEO2311: Ideas in Geography
